Have You Been Charged With
With Murder?

Our Murders Solicitors and lawyers can assist.

Our specialist Murder related solicitors and lawyers have decades of experience representing clients in relation to a wide range of Murder charges. We can offer detailed knowledge of these complex offences and the various opportunities to avoid charges, see charges dropped or secure the minimum penalties where conviction is unavoidable.

The Offence of Murder

For a person to be convicted of murder, the prosecution must prove beyond reasonable doubt that a person of sound mind unlawfully killed another person, under the Queens Peace and at the time had the intention to kill or cause grievous bodily harm.

Remand

A Defendant charged with murder is likely to be remanded in custody therefore, it will usually be family members that are making the necessary enquiries on their behalf to source and secure expert legal representation.

Attempted Murder

When there is an attack which is very serious and the victim has survived, the suspect will not be charged with murder, instead a more appropriate charge would be one of ‘attempted murder’.

For a person to be convicted of attempted murder, the prosecution must prove beyond reasonable doubt that there must be an intention to kill and must have done something to demonstrate the intention to kill.

Self Defence

Self-defence in a prosecution for murder is potentially capable of amounting to a defence if reasonable in the circumstances. Whether the force used was reasonable in the circumstances is assessed by determining if the defendant believed it to be reasonable.

Murder Solicitors and LawyersWe believe in upfront Fixed Fees

What sets UK Criminal Solicitors apart from many of the other law firms is our fixed fee pricing for Motoring related offences. Facing a criminal charge can be stressful enough without uncertainty over legal costs, which can happen when lawyers charge for time spent on your case. We don’t believe in that. We believe in total transparency from the start, offering a fixed fee proposal that includes details of the work to be done and how much it’ll cost. This is all explained to the client at the outset. The only exception to this rule is in rare or complex cases such as high-profile Crown Court cases. Even the everything will be explained upfront.

There’ll never be any unexpected costs further down the line. We don’t like surprises either.
