Do I have to pay for a solicitor at the police station?
No. Advice and representation at the police station are free for everyone — doesn't matter what you earn. You have the right to free, independent legal advice before and during any interview under caution. Always use it.
Am I eligible for legal aid?
It depends on your case and, in some courts, a means test. We'll check if you're eligible for legal aid right at the start. If you're not, we'll set out clear fixed-fee options so you know exactly where you stand.
I've been asked to attend a voluntary interview — do I need a solicitor?
Yes — a 'voluntary' interview under caution carries exactly the same risks as one after arrest. Anything you say can be used in evidence against you. You're entitled to free legal advice for it, so speak to us before you go in.
Can you help if I've been charged in another city?
Yes. We act for clients across England and Wales and can represent you at police stations and courts nationwide. We work with local agents and counsel where it helps your case.
Will I lose my driving licence?
Not necessarily. For many motoring offences we can argue exceptional hardship or special reasons to keep you driving. The earlier you get advice, the better your chances of keeping your licence.
